Tucked into a wooded ravine on the edge of Huntley, Gloucestershire, Deep Filling Farm is home to three self-catering retreats , Willow Lodge, Larch Lodge and the Cider Press - each with its own corner of our private Douglas fir and larch woodland.
No traffic. Just the stream, the trees, and whichever deer happens to be passing.
A working woodland, not a holiday park
Deep Filling Farm sits at the meeting point of Huntley Hill and Brights Hill Woodlands, in the countryside between Gloucester and the Forest of Dean. Our ten acres of towering Douglas fir and larch are frequented by deer, badgers, foxes and birds of prey — and by remarkably few humans.
Our three properties sit together in a small, friendly cluster at the heart of the farm — small enough that this will never feel like a holiday park, and sociable enough that booking two or all three together makes a brilliant base for families, friends or celebrations who want to escape as a group without squeezing under one roof. Each has its own outdoor space to retreat to, and beyond the doorsteps, ten acres of woodland to soak up: log burners, dark skies, birdsong at dawn, and the kind of quiet that takes a day or two to get used to.
